What a lovely find! The gardens, shade tree and pool are so very welcoming. The parking is on-site and the food is the most delicious we’ve had in Crete. We had such a good experience at the Esperides Hotel every time we’ve stay here and we highly recommend it. Every room has a balcony with good views. One side faces the charming village and sea, and the other side faces the beautifully rugged mountains and surrounding olive tree groves. Our room was very clean and comfortable, with a television, refrigerator, teapot (and teas!), clothes’ wardrobe, dressing table and extra blankets. We slept in a large comfortable bed with a great mattress. Be sure to check out their authentic breakfast table for the best tastes. Or you can order dinner to eat near the pool with views of the mountains just beyond the hotel. The area in front of the hotel is a lush garden full of colorfully blooming flowers, trees and plants. You just won’t believe it. Be sure to take a cold drink to the pool area where you can either soak up the sun or enjoy the shade of some beautiful shade trees. There are nice, quiet places to walk for exercise near the hotels. And it’s just a few moments’ walk from the beach and so many good restaurants, bars and shops. The village is a gem – and this hotel is an excellent place to stay. The best in Mirtos!

The Esperides is a family-run hotel, located right on the outskirts of Mirtos. The town and the beach can be easily reached on foot in 5 minutes. The friendly owners are very committed to providing their guests with a pleasant stay. All staff are attentive and helpful. The hotel has several room categories and also offers family rooms. The rooms are kept simple and functional and have a bathroom with shower, balcony, air conditioning, TV and fridge and a kettle. The hotel has a swimming pool with sun loungers, a shaded serviced terrace, a lounge area with a bar and a dining room where breakfast is served as a buffet. The breakfast deserves a special mention. It is diverse and leaves nothing to be desired. From typical Greek specialties to scrambled and fried eggs to sausage, cheese and honey or jams and sweet pastries and freshly squeezed orange juice. Everything is homemade from fresh and partly self-produced products. A multilingual library with holiday reading material and the hotel's own free parking spaces complete the offer.

We had a wonderful time at Hotel Esperides in Myrtos. It's a small family-owned hotel, and the staff was really friendly and made us feel at home right away. The hotel is surrounded by olive groves and mountains, and from our balcony, we could enjoy the beautiful views. The breakfast was tasty and included a variety of wonderful cheeses, breads, pies and other delicacies all local and fresh. We also had dinner next to the pool, cooked by the owner of the hotel, a wonderful cook and that was just delightful too. At the end of that they treated us to some ice-cold homemade Raki and fruit that we enjoyed immensely! . It’s just a short walk to the very long sandy beach. I spent a lot of time there, and there were plenty of good restaurants and cafes nearby to try local food. Myrtos is a quiet and unspoiled village with everything you need for a relaxing vacation. It's not crowded at all and not too touristy, which I liked. Overall, Hotel ESPERIDES is a great place to stay if you want a peaceful and authentic experience in Crete.

Following a lovely lone visit earlier in the month, I took my family for an overnight stay, having discussed my disabled brother's needs with the management. They were fantastic in accommodating all of our needs for close parking, rooms next to each other, early check in and more. The hotel is in a fantastic location with beautiful mountain views from the room balconies, and an easy flat walk to the village and sea. My family enjoyed the lovely pool and the substantial and tasty breakfast. All in all they made it a wonderful short break.
